Too many ads?

Someone commented that my personal blog has too many ads. Well….I try not to be rude by asking someone if he wants to take me as a foster child. One needs money to live, you know? But since he is rather elderly, I decided to just swallow the comment and told him that it is now the trend to monetize our blogs with blog ads because they do make money for bloggers.
Otherwise, why would anyone bother to blog if there is nothing to gain? Surely people will take the opportunity to enjoy blogging while making money online.
