Tips on wedding photography

by Lilian ·

My niece who just got married recently came to my house the other day to view the photographs I took from her wedding. She and her husband are very pleased with some of the shots because mostly, my photos are our relatives. Though she hired a professional wedding photographer, she still enjoy that extra bunch of photos that I had captured on the wedding day. My photos are different from the wedding photographer as I had took photos of all her siblings, parents and in-laws and I do have loads of them.

Therefore, if you are having a wedding and already hired a professional wedding photographer, don’t hesitate to get a few friends or relatives to be the photographer as well because only they will know who are the relatives and make sure they get their share of photos.

Having said that, those photos taken by professional wedding photographer are fabulous and so classic because many of them are b&w wedding photography. This is one area which I have never quite mastered because I normally manipulate the photos with a software and hence, the finished results are not exactly satisfying.

The link of the site I have given above has some information on wedding photography and how different settings provide different feel. So, if you are planning a wedding, helping out a friend or just curious, just surf over and see if you can find any useful tips to bear in mind for future references.

Oh yes, should I add that relatives and friends should have the courtesy to say away from the main frame when the hired photographer is working? I notice that most photos of the bride and groom has someone holding a camera. As a result, the photos were seriously cropped.
