Jason asked for sample shots of the K800i Sony Cybershot camera phone that I bought recently. Well, I have a lot of photos in my laptop but am too lazy to pick the best of the best to share. So, let me grab a few pics I took a while ago.
Macro photography of foods is my most favourite. I have the habit if taking a photo of every foods I get my hands on because I run two food blogs, i.e. Best Recipe and Food Haven. I must say that the camera has not failed me. The above photo of the linguine vongole is taken with macro mode in broad daylight.
I am quite surprised that there are so many scenes and program in the tiny camera phone. If I am not mistaken, I set this to portrait dusk where the colour is enhanced. Otherwise, the colour of the photos are rather pale. I had also set the colour to vivid. One good thing about washed out colour is the portrait photos. I love it cos it makes my skin much paler and fairer. Saves on skin whitening. Hehehe.
Oh ya, please ignore my son’s garish colour clothes. He insisted to wear the Garfield t-shirt which doesn’t belong to him and said the pants must match the orange shirt. *roll eyes* Great fashion sense eh?
This is the night shot, with image stabilizer. Yes, the camera has image stabilizer as well. I use night mode and place the camera phone on the table to capture this. If I am not mistaken, I did not use the flash. As the camera is only 3.2 MP, you cannot expect much. But then, I must say this is rather good already and much better than my son’s previous Pentax M20 point and shoot camera. BTW, he is holding the Nikon P4. Ya, we have a camera each. Or maybe, two cameras per person if you include a real camera and a camera phone.
I bought the K800i for around RM1,400 which is a 3G phone with a Sony Cybershot camera with 3.2 MP.

Hi lilian! How’s the phone so far? Is it prone to “hanging”, and is the responsiveness of the programs fast?

mendee – My phone ok except for the over sensitive shutter button. Maybe I am so used to huge camera so everytime, I touch the camera phone, I definitely make a few bad shots before I was ready.
