Nikon D70s on sale

20 Jul

There is an ad today about Nikon D70s that caught my eyes.  It was the very first DSLR camera that I wanted to buy but unfortunately, my palm is not big enough to cradle it.  The skin between my thumb and index finger felt like tearing due to the width.

Anyway, it is nice to see cameras reducing their prices.  Well, if they are not the model that I just bought.

The ad in the paper is for Nikon D70s kit (body with AF-S 18-70mm IF-ED)

Usual price RM4,088 and now reduced to RM3,788.  I am sure if you go to the right dealer, the price can be further reduced.

There is also a purchase with purchase.  How nice.  The AF Zoom Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6 G can be bought for only RM299 instead of the usual RM599.  A 300mm zoom can get you a very good close-up shot.
Oh ya, the offers valid from 7th July till 23rd July 2006 only.  Grab it before the offer is over.

Nikon will be launching a new DSLR next week or so. Probably that is why there is an offer fro the D70s.

Heh it’s not sale, you can get it for RM3540 at the right places anyway for quite some time.

Just bought one myself, best mid level dSLR around for the price I reckon.

D50 is a great starter too, or Canon 350D for something smaller.

I’ll be interested to see their new SLR, it’s probably something in the D200 range though rather than D70s range.

Megapixels are not everything tho, will have to see what happens.
