My personal blog has wordpress spam injection twice already. My webmaster helped me to clear off the files which mysteriously appeared on my root folder. Though he has taken steps to prevent it, apparently these hackers still managed to inject codes into my wordpress blog and I didn’t know about it until I was informed by Google Adsense. I couldn’t see the links they added into my wordpress blog but Google Adsense spiders can.
So, if you are running WordPress blog, do be aware of these. Get a reliable web host and if you are not too sure what is wordpress spam injection, do ask them.
Just this morning, I found another batch of files which I know I defenitely did not put there. My webmaster said it is some debugging scripts and I don’t even know what is debugging. So, I got to let him find the root cause of the problems again.
The last time it hit me, the hackers had added a lot of files disguised as jpeg files. I got suspicious because I know I definitely did not put my photos on the main root.
Sometimes, I so just so tired of all these funny lingoes and feel lucky to have a webhost who can deal with these problems. There are just so many things that I didn’t know about webhosting.
