I love Flickr’s sense of humour in their 404 page. 404 is a dreaded message that tells you that you cannot access the site due to downtime.

I can’t show you the screenshot now because I cannot upload my screenshot to Flickr. What it says is just a simple ‘Flickr is having massage’. You can surf over now to Flickr’s main site at http://www.flickr.com/photos. You may or may not see it.

Anyway, they have the announcement on their Flickr blog that they are :

but we’re making some big changes which will enable us to roll out new features faster. So … it’ll be worth it!

As usual, photos will still be served, but you won’t be able to access Flickr site or API. We’ll post here once we start and when we’re ready to come back up. Thank your for your patience!
