Have you heard of people leasing or rent to own their stuffs?

Many people who are in their 30s and below probably do not know how common leasing was two decades ago. During the 80s, times were bad and people have to resort to leasing to own cars, homes and even their home appliances and other expensive items.

Now, we are seeing subtle signs that we are once again in a bit of trouble. Hence, people are not going to tie themselves down by spending too much money buying things. So, they prefer to opt for those deals like the easyhome rentals. They rent the furnitures, computers and other things and use them. At the end of it, they can opt to either own them or not.

I do not know how rent-to-own differs from buying things on credit? I suppose one can easily return the item if they cannot afford to pay anymore.

So, will you try lease to own if given a choice. Let’s say you are crazy about some super duper expensive cameras for your business, for example, will you try this method of owning it?

I don’t think I will because I am awfully frugal and disciplined.

When do I upgrade my Nikon D40? So many new models have been released by Nikon recently....

Graceful carps

If I have the money to own a house with a huge garden, I think I will build a pond and rear carps. I find them so graceful swimming in the water. I can just stare at them all day. It sooths the soul and calm the mind, isn’t it?

However, it is not easy to take the photos of carp swimming as they normally do not rise to the surface unless there are foods to attract them. When we scatter some fish foods into the pond, all the carps in the water will rush to eat. The sudden movement normally makes the water murky and the waves spoil the frame as I want the photo display calm and peace.

Next, I have to find the perfect lighting. The sun must shine on the fish scales so that they sparkle and gleam. Yet, the sun must not be too bright or the photo will be over exposed.

I took a lot of photos with different settings to get just the right one. Still, I am not satisfied with the batch of 40+ photos because I cannot find a perfect composition where none of the fish’s head or tail were cut off. You know what I mean?

I was playing with the new Fuji camera we bought a few days ago. I am not entirely happy with the photos. Maybe, my expectation is too high. Maybe I am not used to the settings.

I find the colour from Fuji camera not as lively as Nikon. The skin tone is not a muted as the Nikon. However, the camera is quite easy to use.

Anyway, how I wish I had taken the above photo with a better camera. I love the three little golden carps composition.

Coffee break

My son dropped our Nikon point and shoot camera a few days ago. Right now, I have no camera which is convenient enough for me to take those random shots of the meals I have or to capture the best tasting coffee that I just have. I never carry my DSLR to restaurants or coffee joints because the camera is too big.

So, now I have to make do with my old Konica with its very small LCD. It is no fun taking photos so I am on a break from food blogging. Therefore, I can afford to sit back, enjoy surfing and finding out where to find the best gourmet coffee.

I have plenty of time to read up about best coffee beans and how the tastes differ. Maybe it is also good that I take a break from taking pictures because I notice I am rather lazy lately and my photos look very bland and dull.

So, yes, coffee break for now.

The good thing about blogging is the never ending quest to learn new things and improve my knowledge. Previously, I only know free blogging platform. Then, I started using my own hosted blogs. Now, I am into learning about hosted microsoft dynamics crm. It is a software for businesses to better manage their clients and their employees.

Though it is too technical for me to understnad what is microsoft dynamics crm hosting right now, I guess I will be able to comprehend when I have gone through all the news, features and FAQs on the site. There are so many things we can learn online if we take the trouble to spend time and focus on the topic.

Just like photography, it is something that we can pick up and go through trial and errors. Of course, microsoft crm server is not for the total noob but instead is meant for companies. But who knows, one of these days, I may achieve that stage where I need them, right?
