TasteSpotting – For the foodies photos

07 Jan

A couple of my food photos have been featured by TasteSpotting and I didn’t pay much attention to it. However, I do note the increase in traffic when you get a photo featured on TasteSpotting.

So, being curious and being very free (well, not really), I decided to sign up and check out how to add my photo. I submitted one photo which in my own opinion is beautiful enough to be featured there and I also provided the permalink to the post where I blogged about the food.

If I remember correctly, TasteSpotting used to have very nice, very high resolution photos but recently, I noticed the quality has dropped somewhat. Still, those are pretty awesome food photos and it will lead you to the respective blogger’s blog.

Go check out TasteSpotting if you love foods and love food photos.

Now you can cheat with Fotofix

09 Nov

Nowadays, hardly anyone post their photos online without some photo enhancement. It is unthinkable to post a less than perfect photo of yourself. With the tools available, it is actually not wise to post a photo of yourself with moles, wrinkles, pale skin or whatever imperfections on your photo to show.

However, I hate doing the photo fixing because it takes a long time to download my software. So to make things easy, I hardly post photos of myself. LOL, yes, it is actually a good thing.

So, if you have the same hang-ups like me with regards to putting perfect photos, whether of yourself or something you took, just check out FotoFix. Apparently, their software is quite hot on the market and they even did a facial enhancement for Hilary Clinton. do you still remember the uproar in the media about Hilary Clinton’s boobs? Oh well, don’t worry, they only enhance the face of Hilary Clinton.

Go on and check out what they can offer. If you like a trial, just send them one photo of yourself and they will do it for you for free. You can email or upload direct from your PC to their site.

I also found some pixel pointers or rather photography tips. Maybe you will be interested to check them out because we can always do with some extra tips to make our photos look better, isn’t it?

Oh ya, did I mention that they charge a fee for the photo fixing after the first free trial? Well, I am not sure how much but they mention it is affordable.

Holiday giveaways with Vista

29 Oct

Year end is here once again. Back in the good old days, all the large corporations used to give out nice printed calendars with absolutely beautiful photos. Back then, we didn’t have cameras like we have now. So, almost every kind of photos are beautiful to us.

However, times have evolved. Everyone can afford a camera and nice photos no longer attract people. People hardly print calendars to be given out as gifts. Custom Pens, unique calendar, Holiday Cards, Photo cards and other novelties are what people are using now.

If you are looking for good bargains, do grab the coupon codes from VistaPrint dot com because you will be able to find some attractive discounts. Here are some of them:

Coupon Code- “FreePen07” One free custom promotional pen that you can customize, just pay S&H

Coupon Code – “FreeCalendar07” One free custom wall calendar, just pay S&H

Coupon Code- “FreeHoliday” – 10 free custom holiday cards

With all the photos that you have taken over the year, why not make a family or friends calendar? Get the photos and compile them together. The proud parents can also chronicle a calendar with their adorable babies growing month by month. These are some great ideas to make use of those photos we have in our PC, isn’t it?

Spring cleaning of old photos

07 Aug

I took out my external hard drive which stores my old photos. Previously, I only upload to Flickr what I want to blog but I guess there is no point in keeping all the photos in my external hard drive like this.

One of these days, my kid will probably spoil it like the damages he had done previously to my cameras and gadgets. So, I am going to dump all the old photos into my Flickr account.

I have shit loads of ugly photos, bad photos, lousy photos, screwed photos and I am going to dump them into Flickr. So much for putting the best side forward.

I discovered something as I am uploading the photos.

I normally ‘twist’ my camera the wrong way. I have to turn those photos in portrait mode counter-clockwise while those photos my hubby took, turn clock-wise. Yeah, he had told me many times, I am stupiak but I don’t care. I hold the camera in the ‘wrong’ way. What about you?

Hubby took this pic, lying flat down on the ground in front of KLCC. Now, I wonder who is more stupiak-er? But the photo is nice, so worth the dirts.

LOL, bad photography, I know. But I like! I cannot see my double-chins this way.

Flickr Gallery

21 Jun

I read about this Flickr Gallery from HongKiat‘s blog. All I need is to go to 123flickr (which is not related to Flickr) and get the code. Easy peasy.
