Digital Photo Tips

I think I will bring my camera out and take people staying in dark places. I personally do not feel anything special about Earth Hour and am not going to be bothered with it. I won’t be at home so there is not lights to switch off.

This Earth Hour thingie has taken off big time. The company who markets this idea certainly had done well. Almost every restaurants, hotels, shopping malls and etc want to be part of this mania.

Sometimes, some well co-ordinated and much publicized mobile marketing can hit the big one. If you are into marketing and have never tried mobile advertising or anything like that, then, you should check out how the company has helped their clients with one of those mobile coupons.

Radios are promoting these. TV stations are even promoting these through radios as well. Mobile marketing product is taking off well. The younger generations are all into mobile and they do spent a lot of money on texting. So, what better way than to reach these groups with mobile marketing.

I am sure Earth Hour will receive some active participation with their aggresive marketing. But do they use mobile marketing too? Did anyone opt to receive reminders that it is time to switch off their lights?

I didn’t know that I can learn so much from just two session with a videographer. He is like a walking camera manual, photography magazine and expert in photography put together.

I only spent two weekends listening to his lecturer and discovered so many things I didn’t know before. On top of that, having visual slides and the person to explain things, it is so much easier to learn things.

So, if given a choice, I will attend a serious course on photography. I believe it will greatly benefit me as I already have some basic skills. Who knows, I may even turn professional with the skill.

However, the courses are rather expensive and not within my means. So, I can only dream of studying further unless someone wants to take me under his wings.

Students are so fortunate nowadays because all the facilities are given to them. They can study online and even get help online for
Michigan State University MSU ME 201. One just need to know where to find things like Mechanical Engineering Homework Answer and studying become a breeze. But of course, at the end of the day, it is how we physically perform and deliver results that count.

The other day I spent a weekend to learn video editing. In the process, I also learned things about Photoshop. Right now, I only know how to use some basic things in Photoshop but never explore further.

I didn’t know that we can actually make a normal person into any shape or form by just some layering and things like that. One can be as sexy as they want. With technology one can get all the toned body like a model without having to lift an arm or sweat on the exercise bikes. Flabby arms? Just Photoshop off the flabs and get fit biceps and triceps.

But of course, all these are just for self-satisfaction and one cannot get away with a fake photo. If you want a toned body, just get on the treadmills and work those fats away. It is always more rewarding to practice healthy lifestyle than smart Photoshopping skill, you know.

If I am in the travel industry, I think I will organize wedding packages for Americans and Europeans. There is nothing more beautiful than a tropical setting for a wedding. No doubt the sun is extremely hot, the deep blue sea, swaying palms, beaches and other tropical sceneries will make a wedding memorable.

Maybe, I will throw in other packages like golfing and spas for honeymooners too. Those rich families can fly their host of relatives to the island and have their own holiday while attending the wedding.

After all, who needs shopping holidays when they can easily do all their shopping online? If I am them, I will prefer to go for a leisure holiday in a slow pace minus the crowds. With so many golf courses in my island, I am sure it will attract a lot of golfers too.

Talking about golf, if you are into it, you can easily get golf clubs or golf shoes without going to the shop.

I just completed my course on Video Journalism and Video Editing which are part of the Citizen Journalism course sponsored by Malaysiakini.

After comparing the video clips I shoot with my digital camera and the quality of a real vide camera, I am dreaming of owning a real, professional video camera.

I just hate the ambience sound and that ‘hollow sound’ produced by my digital camera. It spoils a good video everytime.

Therefore, I am going to work harder and make enough money to buy myself a video camera that has output, input whatever put so that it can be hooked to a condenser mike and capture great sound, great picture each time.

Let me go back to my dream of becoming a one-man show producing documentaries and news clip.
