Are you afraid of service downtime?

by Lilian ·

Last night, my server went down and along with it, all my blogs, my blog income and I get plenty of mails from angry advertisers because they couldn’t access my sites. Well, what can I do? It is not that I intentionally shut my blogs down.

The server experienced CPU overload. Normal capacity is only around 4 but somehow it shot up to 40. I couldn’t find what’s wrong with it except for a new plugin. So, I had to remove them and hope my site doesn’t go down again.

My webhost suggested that I upgrade to dedicate hosting from my current VPS web hosting.  He said I can find the best dedicated hosting provider But I cannot afford it now because of my lesser income. I need to find some cheap web hosting and move some of my blogs over. I suspect my personal blog with 3,000 over posts and my phpBB forum are eating up the capacity. Maybe worse come to worse, I have to trim down some of my old blog posts. It is not an easy task because those pages were indexed and I have to make sure that I don’t kill off my golden goose by taking down the old posts.

So much work to do and I hate ‘em. However, if you are looking for the top ten best web hosts, check out this list and I hope it is helpful to help you decide.
