All you need to know about Sony Alpha DSLR A-100 can be found on dpreview

by Lilian ·

I went to the camera shop last weekened, hoping to touch and feel the newly released Sony ALpha DSLR A-100 and also to hear the ‘inside’ comment from the chap who normally talks camera with my hubby and I.  However, the cameras have not hit our little island yet and we were told to go back this week.

While at the shop, I was most tempted with the price-reduced Panasonic Lumix FX-8 because a compact digital camera is certainly useful.  Since the last time I was there, the price has dropped by about RM300-RM400.  It is selling for only RM999.  Wow!  By the way, the FX-9 is no longer on the shelves since it has been taken over by the FX-01. (the new catalogues have no FX-9, only FX-8 and FX-01)
OK, enough of ramblings.  Back to the Sony Alpha DSLR, I had spent a very long time reading through dpreview very comprehensive preview.  Not that I am buying it but reading through, gives me new discoveries about my own DSLR, Konica-Minolta Dynax 5D because as I mentioned earlier, my camera and this Sony DSLR are cousins.

Just posted! Our mammoth in-depth review of the Sony Alpha DSLR-A100, Sony’s first digital SLR and first of their newly created Alpha line. The A100 represents the coupling of Konica Minolta SLR and photographic know-how with Sony’s electronics and engineering experience.
